Video Gamers

I now live with a bunch of video gamers. One guy is into EverQuest. The others are Xbox fans. They’re trying to convert me… I have never been much of a gamer. I’ve never thought much about it however, we now have a video projector so the image is on the wall at about 7 ft. high by 9 ft. wide. HUGE.

Anyway, I never stay alive very long playing any video game. I just don’t know how to work the hand control. Come at me with the need for quick reactions and I spin, point the wrong direction, get shot and watch myself looking up from the ground as life ebbs away. Oh well…

Anyway, the editing process of moving has begun to be an effort I wish I didn’t have to make. I have still more stuff to move, filing cabinets, art supplies, art works, stereo, and my bicycles are the easiest to identify. I already have more stuff in the house than anybody. Gawd, I feel a bit embarrassed but, I do have a lot of stuff. I brought my fridge yesterday and finally made breakfast at the new place.

I feel better but, I’m broke until payday. Driving to school is closer but, still is expensive. Damn it.

Aw, do they play Halo2 or Battlefield2???? My son is desperately looking for other non-racist skinhead-spouting garbage players.

Halo, I don’t know what version. I was “trying” to play it last night but, as usual, when I get approached from the rear, I fail to turn around quickly enough or with enough coordination and get killed. I have trouble manouvering without any outside pressure. The controls move differently than I think they should. It’s not very intuitive in the way you move the controls to make a person walk, run, turn, look up or down. Oh well… I’ll play when I have the opportunity (without other people around so I don’t get all the advice I don’t need to distract me).

heh….well, you’re still probably much better than me; last time I tried I could not sit still, and had to move and jerk my body/arms whichever way I was *moving* on the screen! bwaha!

I’ll check and see if he still has the first Halo, also.
