Since the Future of Web Apps my understanding of the internet and its development has changed so dramatically it would take hours to go over its highlights. One of the things that has given me a great deal of pleasure is that because of new apps, such as Twitter, I am better able to see and understand the future of the internet by those directly responsible for that development.

I should probably be more specific in saying that I’ve talked with a few authors and top level developers that have opened my eyes as well as having them appreciate and recognize my accomplishments, even though they seem small by comparison.

However, we are trying to function in and, as, a community, albeit a community that is self-designed and self-perpetuating. The below article is about Flickr.com, the community photo site. Miamiartexchange.com has photos hosted on Flickr.

Community: From Little Things, Big Things Grow:

“Q. What technology do you need to build the next Flickr? A. Trick question. What you need to build the next Flickr is people. George Oates, a key member of the core team that shaped the Flickr community, shares lessons that can help you grow yours.”
