Yes, dear! You provoked a response. Here is a pic of me when I was about 2 yrs. old, a pic I took of my mom in 1959, my mom and dad (and me) in 1968. I’ve seen pics of Lena Horne and my mom from the 30s & 40s that makes them look like they were sisters. Both of them beautiful women.
I don’t remember being in NYC but, there I am. Don’t you just love my locks? *wink*
The pic from 1959 is one of my favorite dresses my mom wore, black with red tulips and green stems, very bold and graphic. My mother was always known as a classy dresser. When your teen friends give your mom compliments, you know it’s true.
Here we were at church. I can’t remember who took the photo. I looked so geeky in those days however, I was a little bookworm. 🙂 My dad still looks just like that, except he’s got some grey. I have more grey than him, can you believe?
Here is the house I went to visit during Christmas, 2003. My grandmother and mom are on the swing. Her two sister are standing behind. The one on the left of the image is the only one still living. I’ve always been very close to that aunt. We’ve called each other on the phone since I moved away from home. If I don’t call her, she calls me. She was doing fine on Mother’s Day (in case you were wondering). This is the grandmother who I watched in the kitchen cooking. She was SO kind and loving… I miss her. She died in 1968 I think. My mom died in 1973. My other aunt died in 2001.
